Industry Based

Harbin city is an important heavy industry base in China. Its economy is centered around state-owned large and mid-scale enterprises focused on heavy industry including manufacturing of power plant equipment, airplanes, engines, electric cables, relay protection devices, precision instruments, bearings etc. The city also produces aluminum and magnesium as well as flax textiles. All these industries are in leading positions in the whole country. Harbin produces various electric motors ranging from large to mid-sizes and also has an entire motor related up-stream industry producing various components used in electric motors.
