Maintain Leadership Position in Linear Motors

         (1) Linear motor driving oil pump

    • Jointly developed with Daqing Oil Field, the largest oil field in China.
    • Proprietary patented technology, first of its kind in the world
    • Demonstrated energy savings more than 25% than conventional oil pumps
    • Sales more than doubled in 2009 from 2008
    • Continue to expand sales currently focusing on domestic market

         (2) Linear motor propelled high speed metro train

    • Jointly working with the Institute of Electrical Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (IEECAS) and Changchun Railway Vehicle Co. Ltd. (CRC)
    • Recently launched the first domestically developed and manufactured linear motor powered high speed metro train. The Llinear mMotor propulsion Ssystem powering this train is developed and manufactured by Harbin Electric.
    • The next step is to develop the first four-car train to be run at Beijing Capital International Airport Link and ultimately supply the demand for this transit system
    • Support the government long-term plan to build an urban mass transportation infrastructure in more than 40 major cities across the country in the next 15 to 20 years

         (3) Linear motor driving coal transportation train
    • Jointly developing the first linear motor driving train in China for coal transportation with Inner Mongolia
    • The first demonstration test line of 32 km is under construction
    • Development of linear motor driving coal train is on going
    • Revenue contribution began in 4Q 2009
    • Support the transportation infrastructure build up for mining industry in China

Expand Auto Interior Specialty Micro-Motors Business

Expand business further in this business segment with a focus on supplying the fast growing Chinese automobile industry and capturing the potential of the international auto markets with companies that increasingly source auto parts from China.

  • Major initiatives:
    • Constructed a brand new plan in Shanghai with 10 million units of production capacity dedicated to the specialty micro-motors. Trial production began in March 2009 and scaled up in October 2009.
    • The new plant has potential to expand the product capacity to 20 million units when need rises
    • Continue to work with first tier North America auto parts suppliers to expand product development and grow volume
    • Continue to penetrate domestic auto market

Aggressively Grow Rotary Motors Business

Aggressively grow rotary motor business with current focus on domestic market and aiming at future international market

  • Major initiatives:
    • Acquired two rotary motor businesses in 2008 and 2009 to build the rotary motor business platform
    • Strategically focus on providing high-end, energy-efficient products.
    • Develop new product with higher efficiency reducing energy consumption and contributing to greener environment.
    • Improve quality of existing products by investing new production equipment and technologies
    • Improve margin by streamlining product offerings, higher production efficiency, and leverage raw material purchasing

Grow Controllers/Automation Systems operations

  • Formed Advance Automation Group, LLC – a  subsidiary with R&D in the U.S and production in Shanghai.
  • Own intellectual property related to precision servo motor controllers for industrial automation, including research and development, design, manufacturing, and testing
  • Assembled a team of world-class, U.S.-based engineers
  • Have over 60 years of combined experience addressing automotive, industrial, and aerospace engineering design applications
  • Have proven track record of controller design
  • Grow OEM customer base
  • Increase total systems sale by supplying controllers in-house for various motors

Further Develop Overseas Market
